What Needs to Be Done - An Interview with Katy Leakey
In this inspiring contribution to the Earth Keeper’s Summit, Alberto Villoldo interviews Katy Leakey, an artist and explorer who lives and works on a sustainable farm in Kenya. Together, they discuss climate change and Leakey describes the tremendous effects it has on vegetation and wildlife in East Africa: a distinct loss of biodiversity, severe droughts and dying or dead grasslands. During this environmentally critical time in our Earth's history, Leakey believes that seemingly small steps could make the biggest difference. Therefore, she encourages us to experience and enjoy nature more often, so that we and our children become more comfortable with wildlife and learn to really appreciate its joys and its beauty.
